Biodiversity is a very sensitive subject. After reading the article on cultural diversity ad watching the video, I see how cohesive the two are. In many cultures, plants and animals (biodiversity) are treated as historical, religious, etc. symbols. Many countries do not treat plants and animals as simply nature but a part of their cultural identity. As humans migrate and cultures are becoming more diverse, that causes social changes throughout countries.
I am a believer that the government should be involved in the issues of biodiversity simply because in order to prevent, slow down or stop biodiversity from diminishing, it requires planning, knowledge and most of all funds. When doing things with nature, it requires specific government authority due to cultural and law restrictions. Something like eliminating infestation of wild animals that may be destroying plants would also be a reverse biodiverse affect. With the government involved, that will allow more resources and connection with other countries and cultures if needed.
Overal, every country in the world has biodiversity and cultural issues for that matter. Which countries struggle more from those issues would definitely relate directly to the funding and amount of resources that country has to eliminate those issues. If every country were to have the same resources and funding, biodiversity would still exist more in one place that others also due to weather issues. Not all biodiversity issues can be stopped but that can be controlled with the right res
